Yay or Nay? Final Fantasy XIII-2

I say No, for the reason that as far as I know, you haven't played the previous game.

XIII-2 has a menu where you can check the story of XIII.

I agree with DeltaBladeX. Even though you can check the whole story on the ff13-2 menu, it may just give you an headache of weird informatoin, wich is totally different of "living" the event by yourself by playing FF13. It is a bit linear of a Rpg, but still it is a great game with a complex story involving its own universe / culture etc that you may prefer to play before the 13 -2

Geez, that's harsh. I haven't finished XIII yet to get to XIII-2, but of the ones I have played, FFIII is my least favorite in the entire series and I don't really see that changing unless someone forces me to play one of the MMOs. I have XIII-2 for Xbox 360, and FF XIII for PC and well... cant' really recommend these games as they are not so great.

I guess the Lightning Returns should be better than these.
