Who's your favourite Game of Thrones character? (dead not included)
Tywin Lannister - liked him the most as the actor and figure in GoT, next up Jamie Lannister (character development)

I was behind on the series and was nearing the end of A Storm of Swords, when I told my friends how Tywin was basically the main character of the series... 40 pages later, crossbow bolt to the gut. He may be an asshole, but he's a smart asshole who actually has a point to his assholiness.
Jamie is great, and the scene in the baths with Brienne (especially in the books) completely changed the way I thought of him.

+1 for Tywin, hes all about doing what it has to be done. And on the books Doran Martell, the martell storyline on the tv show went full retard, half of the tv plotlines went full retard tbh :v

As much as I used to really like Jon Snow, I feel like his character has been getting worse in recent seasons, hence why the Lannister brothers are up there for me as of now. Also, I back you up on the Stannis theory, even though I wouldn't see any reason for Brienne not to kill him. :3

So I got to ask, book vs show? Because, some characters are much better in the book (Arya, Bran) and others are much better in the tv show (Daenerys) and seriously, why isn't she in the poll?

"Game of Thrones" is the name of the show. The books are called "A song of Icen and Fire". So I guess the poll should be for the show only, That's why I haven't added Lady Stark to the poll.

Book 100%. Show was good until a few seasons in. Now it's just a mess compared to the books imo. The changes to certain storylines is just stupid and the overall writing quality is poorer.

eh. I can see why they made a lot of the changes that they made. If they stayed true to the books, they'd need to have more episodes per season, and some things really don't translate well to the visual medium.
what I do find funny is that some of the most controversial parts of the show either do not appear in the books or are significantly different.

Idk I honestly love almost every character. The only one I really detest is Gregor Clegane (The Mountain). Also while I can appreciate Theon, I don't really like watching/reading about him for some reason.

I will go for Petyr Baelish. I think he and Varys are the 2 most gifted characters. They know how to play the game and even if they won't win, at least they won't die.
