Fuck. Yes. A Mojang-made dating simulator in a horror environment. Or should I vote Peter Molyneux? What does that even mean? They'll promise to have every game mechanic ever, improved, but give us a fart simulator?

You'd be surprised about the amount of awesome that can be made in such a short period of time. I recall reading about indie games made in 24 hours a few years back and they were very good for the length of time they were in development for.

...with an incredibly deep moral system - imagine examining the interactions between the paddles and the ball (and who knows, maybe even those giant phantom floating digits that are keeping score...) as they play Pong - because after all it won't be you playing Pong, you'll be guiding them through their everyday Pongland life in beautiful 2-bit color, low resolution, but fluidly animated for you in an interesting, but overall confusing mess of something that probably will make you wish you had spent your money on Pinapple Smash Crew instead.

Can the paddles hold hands? Can they experience? Can they learn? Can they love?
What pong is missing is that you feel no connection to your paddle. The paddle needs to convey your emotions. Your emotions towards the ball, your emotions towards the opposite paddle. And we also need British comedians to voice them.

That dating sim should be in WW II times so I could slap Hitler with my awesome-chick-character.

Probably a 0% chance we'll see this game on Steam though :( sadly.

Ehh, Steam ain't the be-all-and-end-all of gaming anyway.

Yea. It's like that same trend of WW2 shooters we had before the first Modern Warfare. I just wish the next big things comes and kills these damn boring ass shooters.

I just wanted to point out something that most of you seem to be missing. On the site, it says:
We want your help to choose the theme and the genre.
Of course, you’ve always wanted to play a Shoot Em’Up Dating Simulator with a Candy Land World War II theme. Choose wisely!
End quote. Now take another look and consider the possibilities.

You're right, I had missed that, and now I can't stop laughing.

Mojang are making a new game, and they're letting you influence what kind of game it's going to be. Today they've announced the "Humble Bundle Mojam", a weekend game jam by Mojang staff, where they will spend 60 hours working on a game to be sold via HumbleBundle.com, with all of the proceeds going to charity.
Head over to the Mojang website to vote on the genre and theme you want to see Mojang working on this weekend, and use the hashtag #Mojam to submit questions about the jam over twitter.
The whole thing is going to be livestreamed over at HumbleBundle.com, so you know which direction you point your web browser in come Friday.
