I played the first 4 with just one hand and the other two with a mixture of one hand, two depending on how much pain I was feeling. I can safely say that Scanner Sombre is the Dark Souls of playing with one hand.
I'm glad I could make it! I don't know if I'll be able next month, but I won't keep trying. Thanks again for keeping me motivated to clean my backlog!

Hi Cjcomplex! This is my first time at the event and I would like to know if there is any impediment to playing Jotun: Valhalla Edition, which has more than 2 hours of gameplay but only because I left farming cards (I never played it). And I would also like to add Life Is Strange to my list. I completed the first episode only (which was free at the time) and now I have the other episodes.
I've read the rules, but I'd like to be absolutely sure it won't be a problem.

Idling is fine as long as you haven't actually played it and don't have any achievements; on the other hand, since you've likely got achievements in Life is Strange, it won't be accepted.

Thanks for the answer, PossiblePsycho. But in the case of Life is Strange the game is not valid even though the achievements are from the first episode (which was free)? I only got the final (paid) episodes long after I played this one (just wanting to be really really sure about this since the episodes can be obtained individually as separate games)

Oh I really appreciate the answer (I just added you to my whitelist because of the answer). It's just that I really think the game is valid since I'm going to play episodes 2-5 that I got because of HB in 2018 (if it wasn't for that I probably wouldn't have bought it), and the first episode, maybe, can be understood as a 'demo', as it's free on Steam. Perhaps...?
In any case, I'll start playing the others, which I know are correct, and then the strange case of Life is Strange can be analyzed in the meantime. : )

episode 1 was free on July 2016 (i have it from there)
and the HB complete edition realice was on February 2018.
this Is a real particular case.... I dont remember seeing something like this before, checked a quick search in the participants for that game before, and all them (including me) play the full game (all episodes)..
but, acording to FAQ, in first question, it wont count for the event by having archivements already played. as PossiblePhyco sayed before.
so... yeahhh... you will need to wait for a oficial answer from CJcomplex.
btw, even if its dosnt mach for this event, I totally recomend to finish that game, it a great game, not gonna spoiler anything, but thing are just starting at the end of episode 1.... very enjoyable game.

Ain't that the truth :/. My rl schedule is changing back to normal starting mid next month, so I'll be a lot more responsive moving forward. This also means you won't be catching me online at 3 am local time, but I doubt that is much of a loss :p.

Hotline Miami 2 was good. If you like the first game, you'll probably like this one too. It has more story, which is nice, but it also has enemies sniping you from off-screen, which is frustrating. 8/10
Darksiders Genesis was alright. Really liked the aesthetics. Also liked Liam O'Brien's voice acting. Controls were pretty bad though, doing the more difficult puzzles with the controller was infuriating. 7/10
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice was an amazing experience. The story is engaging, I liked how I was slowly introduced to Senua's past (also norse mythology) throughout the game. The voices in her/your head showing the way, explaining what's happening, or just getting on your nerves was also a neat idea. Combat was sometimes a bit frustrating though. 9/10
Hyper Light Drifter was fine. It looks really nice. Exploring the map was fun. Also the beginning and the end had some Neon Genesis Evangelion vibes - which was a bit weird, but I liked it. What I didn't like was the combat (it felt slow, sometimes unresponsive), and the collectibles (there's so many, it's overwhelming). 7/10
198X was okay. Five arcade games with a pinch of nostalgia. Runaway was the best (sadly, not as good as Out Run in Yakuza 0), the rest was just frustrating. 6/10
Retrowave was the last one, after 198X I was trying to play a bit more retro racing game. It was worse. You're just going straight ahead, there's not a bend in the road. You can't see too far, so cars are just popping in your view - and most maps are dark. Also, it's VERY grindy. (Most reviews are praising the music... Who plays video games to listen to music? There's YouTube for that.) 4/10

Yay! Here we go again!
And I already have my games picked this month but I'm not going to list them right away so I don't jinx myself :P because the last time I did that, I didn't have time to play half of the games I picked.
So here we go.
Lacuna was my favorite play this month. I wasn't expecting to love it as much as I did.
Orwell was ok although not as good as the first chapter.
Tomb Shooter on the other end: total letdown. I enjoyed maybe an hour total of the whole gameplay. I probably wouldn't have finished it at all if it wasn't for the event.

The challenge is simple: Play and beat any 6 games, starting today, that have been featured in any given Humble Monthly/Choice bundle in one month.
The prize: ELDEN RING
Game length does not matter and I'm not looking for 100% achievement runs. So long as you play and beat 6 games, I'm happy. You can go easy mode and play a bunch of 1h games or go crazy and play 6 +30h games. So long as they were in a monthly at a given point, it is all good.
Just post a comment with either screenshots/ achievements showing that you fulfilled the criteria and I'll add on Steam and give you the link. Feel free to share your thoughts on the games you've played, but it is not required.

Why you doing this?
I hate money. That and I realized I've been subbed to the monthly for over six years (yes it has been that long, I checked) and it occurred to me that I've barely touched the games I've gotten from it, let alone played them. Figured the same would be true for a few others, so I figured this is a good way to change that. A sensible person would probably unsub in this situation, but please refer to the beginning as to why that will not happen.
I've played the first X minutes of a game, can I pick it for the event?
No. You cannot have any play time or achievements prior to the start of the event. The only exception is idle time from farming Steam cards.
Can I play a MP only game?
No. It needs to have an "end" in order for me to count it as beaten, so it needs to have a campaign/story mode.
If a game was sold as a non-Steam copy in a bundle (origin/uplay/drm-free/etc), can I pick it as a choice if I own a Steam copy?
No. The reason being that those who own a Steam copy would have an extra option that would not be available to everyone who bought the same bundle. If the game was originally sold as a non-Steam copy, but Humble later provided steam keys to everyone who bought the bundle, then the game would be allowed.
Why six games?
The first few monthlies had 6/7 games in them so I went with that.
How long are you going to do this?
Until my credit card statements gives me nightmares.
This event "ends" on March 1st when the next HB Choice releases, though the giveaway itself will end the next day. If you manage to finish game number six in between that time, feel free to post, but know that I cannot guarantee that I'll be able to give you the link in time.
