High hundereds to 1.5k seems to be the average, although there's probably enough points going around lately to speed that up. I'd suggest you be patient, and perhaps start a couple giveaways of your own, to gain access to contributor giveaways.

Around 700 and that's for a developer giveaway , I won my first group giveaway at around 900+ and the second , also group giveaway , at around 1100. So far I haven't won anything in public giveaways.
