I don't think that this is the most ideal place to look for people :))
If you have experience with php and you have no tight deadline than you could probably do it by yourself. You could even do it if you have little experience with php if you use some snippets here and there :))
But have ma' bump for further findings :))

You'd be surprised. I've met quite a few devs on SG.
I'm a fulltime developer and swamped with clients right now. Just don't have the time to finish this myself AND keep my sanity.
That's why I'm reaching out to find someone to help me on this one.
I'm also hoping that if I do find someone we work well together as I'll definitely have more projects in the future that I can outsource to them.

I do have experience with PHP, but it has been a while (about 10 months to a year I would say) since I last used it. I also don't have that much time to work on things like this (or rather don't want to spend too much time from my vacation on it, plus I'm already working on another small project for about 30 to 60 minutes a day).
But just out of curiosity (and maybe it's helpfull for others that visit this thread) a few questions:
Does it use a database (if so, what kind of database)?
What amount of money can we expect?

It will use a database, yes. It must be SQLServer because we are pulling data from their Texada ERP for the products and customers and that's where they have it importing into. I'm leaning towards using the Laravel framework, so interaction with the DB Layer will be simple.
As for money, it depends greatly on your experience and how much you can contribute.
It will be reasonable though, I'm not looking to rip someone off with $5/hour or anything.

Thanks for the info! As I said, I personally don't really want to spent a huge amount of time working on these things in my vacation (I'm studying Software Engineering, so I do this plenty at school already :p) and I have not heard of the Laravel framework before, but good luck finding someone!
Although for that kind of money it is tempting... How long do you estimate it will take?

Even if it is for work, learning a language you don't like, is a pain. I'm studying software engineering and PHP was basically the introduction to programming. The first half year was focused on that (and a bunch of other subjects of course), but I will probably not work with that later. Especially now that I know how to use C# (probably gonna go for an official license (or whatever it's called) through school for that one)...

I'm a professional software developer, PHP is a piece of cake for me. I've work with Laravel before, although I'm more familiar with CI. I don't mind taking a side-job for some extra money, but I'm quite busy with my full time job so I can only spare like an hour a day for development. If the project is indeed small and the deadline is indeed not tight, we can consider working together on it.
However I can foresee the biggest obstacle is our timezone difference. It'll be very difficult to collaborate.
I have added you on Steam.

I'm looking for someone with PHP experience to work on a project.
It's for a client of mine, I'll be working alongside you. This is paid.
Bonus points if your html/css design skills are good, because mine suck and would save me a ton of time if you could handle the form design and so on. The general design and layout will be provided.
It's basically a web-based point of sale/order system that employees can use when working with customers.
Not a very large project and doesn't have a super tight deadline either.
If all works out well this can lead to more jobs down the road.
If you're interested add me on steam and we can chat.
Will close this when I've found someone.
