Actually, I'm pretty sure 83.2% of the gamers prefer whining as well :P

"We require all registered users to have at least $50.00 worth of games associated with their Steam account. This is to prevent users from creating multiple Steam accounts for use on this site, which might result in cheating. This value is automatically generated when you register, using the game list from your Steam profile."
it is $50

When you buy a bundle (like the humble bundle or Indiegala), you can pay 1$ only. However all the games you receive have a separate value of 10-20$ each, and so buying two bundles at the price of 2$ in total will get you to the 50$ requirement. That's what Monukai was referring to. The admins have corrected that to some level anyway.
I agree with the idea in any case, that way everyone is on the same level; I'm sure one or two users have tried using bots and macros to join a giveaway. Plus it's really infuriating when I'm missing the game I've been waiting for just because I need some sleep D: (add to that that I've already waived one hour of sleep just to see if I got my points).

no.

or just remove an entry for something that still has a day or so to get your points then re-enter it later I guess
This is why an auto-join is pointless except in two cases:

We already have this feature. You just have to upgrade your account to steamgifts pro to use it.

Well the who,e point of the site is to be entering for games that you really want. Just because you have a chance of winning something doesn't mean you should. Give it to someone who will acutally play and enjoy the game.

I think the title is misleading. Made me think about being able to enter all giveaways of a certain game automatically. Which is something I'd appreciate, but I imagine won't happen. As for idea itself, I think that allowing to enter one giveaway and going to negative points, and then only participating in it when the points are >= 0 would work, but it's probably not something worth implementing.

So let's think this over shall we mate? IF there would be something like this, everyone would use it and entries in giveaways would be bigger. Even if you could enter one giveaway you'd want a billion of other people would too.
Chances of wining anything are already too small....thank god this never will be made :D

Hey guys,
I just thought about a new function for steamgifts.
This function will be the auto join function.
When you want to join a giveaway that will take (for example) 5 hours, and you only need 2 points left, but you need to get some sleep. So when it is sleeping time and you really would like to win that game, you can press the auto join button.
This auto join button will let you enter the giveaway when you have enough points automaticly. So you don't have to wait before you have enough points to enter. So then you will get your very well needed rest and at the same time you can win a game :).
update:
There could be an hour limit like 5 hours / more / less.
There could be a point limit like 3 / more/ less.
