I never got into GoT either, but thanks for the Final Cut giveaway.

Same here, but I can always get into a good Telltale game. Thanks for the GA.

if you pay attention to those fanfiction made up by people who find inconceivable the idea of a fantasy novel free from their narrative, sure :v tbf tolkien was a fervent catholic, his work is anything but gay, and its perfect as it is. no need for useless upheavals.

But we all need a bit of rainbow in our lives
well i can live without tbh, so thanks but no thanks :D
No, I know you're right. Also I do know, that Got is not gay :P
For most parts at least :]
of course. also distinctions are to be made, as in the tv show homosexuality innuendo are far more explicit compared to those in the written novel. nonetheless, both novels are enjoyable (imho tlotr shines way more - basically an hymn to traditionalism and ethnocentrism)

Yep, tlotr is absolutely marvelous and unique and it was an inspiration for loads of books - even for got :D
So I'm totally on your page, I just had to comment your first reply really :D
As in me being one of the ppl who wrote gay fanfic to lotr ;) :]

gotta send it to amazon. they are investing shitloads of shekels into making a tlotr tv show. you dream about a gay frodo might become true :v

Yeah, no. Frodo was never my focus though :D
And no, I will not do that. I don't feel secure enough about my writing. Plus, stealing ideas from other ppl to publish that? Nah! If I ever publish something I'd rather own every single piece of it. Guess I have to get my shit together for that to happen though. The ideas are there, but the impulse is missing - and no, it's not all gay :D

I used to be like that, mainly because I thought the show was highly overrated (I usually hate popular things), but then I decided to watch it and it has become one of my favorite shows ever.

Didn't I just say I decided to watch the show and it has become one of my favorites? How is that letting other people influence what I can or cannot enjoy?
The overrated part is about living up to the expectations. This is better applied to music for me. For example, Beyoncé and Taylor Swift are extremely popular (dare I say the most popular female artists out there along with Adele, but Adele's amazing), yet I don't think they are that good. There are many other artists out there who are a million times better than them and no one knows who they are. So sometimes when I see a lot of people talking about something I'm a little hesitant to check it out because I feel like it won't live up to the expectations, because of my history with that - it almost never does, GoT was a rare case. It doesn't mean I won't check it out eventually.
