^this. I didn't give them much since I already owned a few of the games, but they deserved all the money for themself... It's kinda sad that a company like THQ is forced to make a pay-what-you-what deal like this, at least they deserve to survive

4$ for THQ as I already own Metro, Darksiders and CoH (last one as non-steam version)
So 4$ for Red Fraction and Steam Version of CoH (hate the manual patching in that game)

I would give them at least 20$ when they released Linux versions.

I gave 60% to the developers & 20% to both the charity and Humble Bundle each time I've bought a humble bundle one no matter who the developers are.

Well, it's for charity, so even the smallest amount of money is a good contribution. I say you should be happy!! ( ^ ɯ ◕)

You realize that even if the guys who did make the games still worked at THQ, they probably STILL wouldn't be getting a cut of this, right? Kind of invalidates your argument some (or rather, the article's argument that you seem to agree with).

I'm not sure I understand why you would pay any more than $1 unless you were going to pay a lot more than $1. Good for you, I suppose.

I gave them $0.50 and another $0.50 to the Humble guys. Bad charities this time. Would have gone $0.25 THQ - $0.50 EFF - $0.25 Humble if they hadn't changed it.

On a related note, why does everybody love THQ? What have they done to deserve it?

People probably don't want THQ to go bankrupt.

Yes. My question was what did THQ do to deserve the bail-out from gamers? They buy out and then shut down studios, they still sell games with GFWL, they release console ports, they sell fucktons of DLC. And while a few of the things they published are great, nothing is legendary. And they don't even release great stuff consistently.

What is it that people love so much? Besides Company of Heroes. The linear shooters? The DLC fests? The GFWL-crippled Dawn of War II? The movie and TV tie-ins? The mobile and Wii crap that I'd never even heard of before I checked their list of published games?

Looking through their list of games on Steam, the only things I'd pay for are this and this. Maybe also this and this, but I'd have to pirate them first to make sure they're worth it.

On the other hand, they have some stuff I'll probably just pirate eventually. Like this, this and this. But if they make mistakes that cause me to pirate, do I want them to survive? I'd rather see someone smarter take over and continue those series.

$17 to THQ, although I had all games except SR3 which I have on the PS3. I also already have Darksiders on both PS3 and Steam.

20$ - 100% to developers (because they deserve it), 0% to charity (because if i want to give money to people in need, i do it directly and not over red cross or caritas scammers), 0% as humble tip (because of their dirty "let's make our own people and friends pay 10k+ to bump up the average price" campaign).

Didn't have much to spare but gave it all to THQ this time. Usually I give most to the charities, then Humble Bundle and the devs get an equal share of what's left.
