There are really many, many choices, but I will go with something less expected and say Quest for Infamy.

Really good game! Slightly let down by the voice acting of a couple of the characters for me, although "Susan" was excellent.

Actually I shouldn't even call it a game, because all you do is click and watch the story unfold, but the way it is presented (great voice acting, pretty artwork and an amazing soundtrack) makes it a unique experience.
I had played some visual novels before eden*, but I realized most of them were trash by comparison.

Bad Rats ... absolutely fantastic game of the millenium edition :)

The Walking Dead because I like zombies, anything to do with TWD and I enjoyed the writing/storyline + the artwork.

Probably either SpaceChem or DmC.
I love the first unreservedly--it's one of my all-time favorite puzzle games. I recommend it whenever I can. (Though it must be conceded, it caters to rather particular tastes. They just happen to be my tastes.)
DmC I have very mixed feelings about, but I love the combat system. It's one which makes acquiring some skill in it fun and rewarding, and consequently have replayed it more than I do most games.
(P.S. Neuromongo, I love the avatar. Classy choice. :) )

The Silent Age
the story is great although it's short puzzle

I think Deus Ex: Human Revolution from Humble Square Enix Bundle. I spent a lot of time into it and got every achievement.
Now I want to play Mankind Divided but it will take a while before getting into a bundle :P

I installed it once but the game ran pretty bad on my old pc, constant slowdowns, don't know why... I'll try again next year

Bioshock at the Humble 2K Bundle, the best thing? I got it for free haha. Definitely one of the best games I've got on any bundle (and it was the first bundle I've ever got, so there's a sentimental value too haha)

And finally a game where you don't NEED a knife to do some stuff, but just something sharp - like a glass shard. I really enjoyed it's crafting system because instead of memorizing recipes they really made sense. Like one can make a sling from any cloth :)
