Do you have any difficulties with communicating in english?
I don't have a problem communicating in English, but that is because I learned it from very young age.
However, I will say that English is a horrible language. I would deem it as one of the hardest used languages in the world, because of the abysmal rules for pronunciation, grammar etc. It's nearly impossible to learn it from rules, you can only hope to keep learning words and instead learn how they are used instead of looking at rules.

And that's coming from a Slavic language native speaker)) I don't speak Polish (in spite of being partially Polish), but I doubt that it's simpler than Russian. Who are we to judge? :)

Well, Polish uses latin letters, so it would be easier to learn for those who also use them in their native tongue.
And Polish actually has working rules, sure, there are exceptions, but they number in tens, not thousands (unlike English).
and polish made the smart decision of using ą ę ś etc.
while english is like "th? this looks nice, let's have it in a lot of words...but make it work in different ways! " (the, think etc.)

Well, i guess it's good enough to keep surviving on Steam, sometimes i have to use a translator to get the stuff out i didn't find proper words for. It's basically just school english. 😁

I'm more comfortable writing then speaking english but overall pretty confident. I actually wasn't very good at english during my school time but after that I started to read and watch more in english. Learning by doing actually works for me. My grammar is pretty solid even tho learning grammar was always boring.

I hope this doesn't come across as bragging, but my written English is pretty much flawless. As for when I'm actually speaking with other people face to face, I'll still hesitate here and there; it's thankfully not super frequent, but it'll definitely happen.
I suppose one thing that has helped me vastly improve my English skills is that I've actually lived in the UK for 2 years at one point. I'm from Portugal, by the way.

Hi everyone :D
I'm a university student from South Korea, and I'm majoring in English Language and literature.
I'm doing a small poll about your experiences about using english.
For now, I'm doing a small research about Lingua Franca.
feel free to tell your own views, your own notions or ideas, or experiences you had, anything is fine.
Thanks in advance for your participation, here is a small
giveawayI made.EDIT - Here's one of my reply from this poll. The poll itself down here, is not even close to important.
What I want to hear here, is your own thinking about yourself on your own English usage.
So don't take this so seriously. It's just a thing with 4 buttons and a small giveaway. :)
EDIT 2 - That giveaway is over, so I think I'll make another one.
Giveaway hereAnd one more small one here
This time it's invite only. :)
Again, thank you for everyone!
Have a nice day!
