No. Just because people give games doesn't mean that they own every single new game and don't want to win games sometimes as well.

They do it because they can.

Contributor is acquired over time and is gained through stuff like sales and whatnot as well. just because he had $1200 or less to spend that year on games doesnt mean he used it all at once, or if they have it on hand at the current moment.

Besides, contributor is made to reward the people who help keep the site running with their gifts and they deserve it regardless. I'm aware there's discussions on exploiting systems and w/e but I digress.

Because is their way to say "Thanks" to the people who have been contributing to this community. I've made recently a $300 giveaway of Fortix and it costs $1.00 and reached more than 100 entries.

Yes there is a logic, as it improve's the chances of winning for the guys who have given away 1200$ worth of game's or more, So, you can say that the giveaway is some kind of ehh, tribute to those guys...

If people were giving away so much it means they spent all their money and cannot afford to buy games anymore, so we must make gifts to them. On the other hand, people that did not contributed anything saved a lot of money and can buy all the games they want, so they must not be allowed in giveaways.
