I always thought the first one was just some overpriced pseudo-retro crap. It's nothing like the horrible trailers they have for it show though. And it's on sale for $3 right now :o

Gameplay and new protagonist.

I have almost 20 hours played on the first one and I somewhat just gave up... it's pretty rewarding when you figure things out but so often frustrating that it wasn't fun anymore. And I like games that are considered "hard".

If people really can't handle cryptic puzzles, it's probably not for them. On the other hand, lots of hints are written on the tablets throughout the game.. but who reads that?

(some of them can be pretty cryptic, though).

Looks good. I think making puzzles a little more accessible isn't such a bad thing too.

And I still have to try the first one, good joob, good job indeed...
