Alright, I posted this yesterday, and for 8+ hours the service was not working. Then magically at like 3am or something I was finally able to view the Store, Community, and News sections on Steam. Up until that point, none of it was functioning, the pages were blank with nothing at all on them. Then magically after hours of frustration, it works again.

Well, the problems back. 12 hours I've sat here today while Steam is broken, unable to load the same three things I just mentioned above. Can't access the Store. Can't access anything on Community. And can't access News. Oh and their customer support? What a fucking joke.

But I'm sure I'm the only person who this has been happening to. Last two days Steam has worked for a total of maybe 5 hours. And I changed nothing on my end. It worked for MONTHS fine. Now magically, when I actually want to use it and make purchases, bam, no service, and no customer support.

I'm a little bit pissed off. Spent over $100 during this sale, and now Steam just magically breaks on me? What the fuck..

Use anything like PeerGuardian? Mine decided to magically forget the Valve exceptions one day.

Still could be a firewall blocking communications

Except it's not? Nothing was changed and it worked flawless for months. No settings were altered on my end. This is 100% an issue on Steams end.

I didn't change anything on my end either when PeerGuardian randomly lost the exception list.

If you're so convinced the issue is on Steam's end, why do you think any of us can help you out?

Also, you haven't tried reinstalling yet?

Why would I do that when the issue is on their end?

Lol, ok. Have fun waiting on Steam support instead of making sure the problem isn't on your end.

This is what I get when I go to the store: http://i.imgur.com/VSGjN.jpg

And if I try to open Steam through a browser, it won't load. But if I go on my phone, and use the app, I can magically access all of it. Or if I turn on Big Picture on steam, I can see some of the things but it's still broken. I'll post another picture in a moment.

Edit: Big Picture Mode (ignore the second monitor) http://i.imgur.com/nOyqj.jpg

As you can see, even in Big Picture mode nothing works. The screenshots are blank black boxes, and the videos as well.

The problem seems obviously on your end, especially when you look at that: http://store.steampowered.com/stats/
Check your firewall/antivirus, or better, kill it with fire.

If you are not on your personal network, it could be blocked too by the administrator.
Anyway, you can play apparently so... enjoy. You also can access all those with a browser, have you even tried?

Ok, let me say this for the third fucking time. NOTHING ON MY END CHANGED AND IT MAGICALLY WORKED AGAIN BRIEFLY LAST NIGHT. Know what that means? It's on their fucking end.

It's not because YOU didn't touch anything (and you never can be sure) that NOTHING has changed. Just read.

Did you even read? No I can't access ANY of that with a browser.

I'm at my god damn house, on the same PC I always use. Nothing was changed. No settings ANYWHERE were changed. This is not on my end and it's incredibly frustrating not only dealing with this, but then being told that I changed something when I know for a fact nothing was. Nobody has touched this computer but me, and no settings ANYWHERE were changed. This is not on my end.

You don't have to change anything for a piece of software to stop working properly. Corruption happens.
