A friendly "I'll take one" to someone who says they have a bunch of games for giveaway is not begging in my book.

Change your book, it is bad.

If he didn't offer to give games, no matter how many games he have, never ask for to give you one, if you ask without being offered you begging and it is ban worthy.

If a member did not ask "Who wants this game for free?", asking to get it for free is begging, and will bring the ban hammer. You clearly should take a look at the rules.

Clearly you haven't already, given you regifted your only win. Enjoy your own suspension.

Actually I didn't regift my only win. I purchased the bundle and gave it away. Then later I decided I wanted it (and got a run of points I didn't know what to spend on) and entered a drawing for a game I already gave away.

I didn't regift.

And I take the post as saying they are giving the game for free.

Strangely, I didn't see the game on your profile yesterday when I checked. It seems that I now do. Whatever the reason, I guess I'll withdraw the ticket to Support.

As for that not being begging, IT IS, YOU ARE WRONG. The only way asking for a game isn't is when the user with the game says "DO YOU WANT THIS GAME, I'LL GIVE IT TO ANYONE WHO ASKS". Nothing like that is shown there.

And jumping to false assumptions breeds unhealthy discontent in the community.

Which is why the suspension and ban hammers should be wielded carefully toward clear abuse of the rules not a niche interpretation at whimsy.

And as long as we are talking about rules. I think the rule about calling people out is equally valid and important to the don't beg rule.

For Calling Out, making a topic with "This user scammed me" or going "FAKE" in giveaways from users, that counts as as against the rules. Spotting a post from a user who has posted and pointing out that their actions have broken the rules isn't counted. That warns them, so they have a chance to undo their actions before Support gets around to their ticket and avoid the trouble.

Neither of the users who begged in this comment chain have done so, for whatever reason.

How about calling out (falsely) me for something I didn't even do? And declaring you are going to get me suspended for violating a rule I didn't violate - on something unrelated to the thread and that occurred (or rather didn't) 6 months ago?

How is that not calling out? And while you withdrew the support ticket you didn't fix the callout either.
