I'm gonna go both Steam and Origin at the same time, at least that way ill have a better selection of games, plus not all games require Steam or Origin when you buy them at retail stores unless ya buy them digitally ( Best Buy ). My copy of Transformers War of Cybertron that i bought from Amazon.com a few mounths ago was the original Retail DVD ROM version and it doesn't require any service besides Activision's own multiplayer servers ( there isn't much difference between the physical version and the steam version of Transformers War of Cybertron besides the Steam Community and the achievements options ). Plus i keep up with all of mmo accounts perfectly fine, I'm still an player on Shaiya.

I still dislike Origin, they just want another few millions (not-paying) users, so they can boast how many people use it.

i have nothing against origin( or uplay). Their client is exactly how it should be, while steam is starting to look like next facebook. Also Origin have regional pricing which is big + for me. Steam still wants to charge me 50-60 euro for games that i can buy in local store for half that price.

I was surprised that origin sells now steamwork games, i bought walking dead during recent sale there for less then 10$

Also competition is a good thing here, but i think there is a difference between having this 10 year old game for free or TF2 and Dota 2. Got it on disc anyway, so meh.
