It doesn't matter. If a game was given for free at any point it gets permanently removed from SG.

It's been given away for free in mass giveaways (thousands of copies) multiple times in the past. If you're buying a game for a GA, I'd check to make sure you can create a giveaway for it before you make the purchase.
