We're lucky in the UK. Humble always seems to issue us with RoW keys.
By the way, NBA 2K17 was RoW in the UK too, you didn't need to add region restrictions.

Easy way to check is to hit the gift button. If you're not given a warning saying this key can only be redeemed in blah blah blah, then it's RoW.

Was having doubts with my NBA 2k17, but now I know it's locked to whole America and maybe Oceania.
It's a really long list of countries that can't activate it.

I didn't even realise about the NBA region lock until the winner couldn't activate the key as they're from the Philippines, so I had to reroll.
Of course at that point the Humble gift link was claimed and useless, thankfully the first winner gave me the actual Steam key and I could give it to the next winner.

The ROW keys for EU buyers were removed/revoked as we weren't supposed to get those ones.
And Humble have no say in the matter of which region we belong to, that's determined by the developer/publisher and Humble just issue the keys given to them with restrictions/locks already in place.

This game got leaked from monthly because of the region lock on Japan, Mongolia, Vietnam, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Cambodia, Brunei Darussalam, India, Pakistan.
Excepting those 3 region locks, should work on the rest of the world (that's the difference between ROW and GLOBAL).
It could be better to wait until you get more info on the monthly thread or just ask HB support.

We have no option to block regions :. You either do it global and stating it's not activable for those regions, or lock it to EUR.

No, but there is a possibility to choose a region that can activate it.

Make a private GA and say it cant be activated in X countries. Or lock it to a region that can activate like ExtremussPrime said.
If you make public and winner is from locked country they can demand the game from you so you will end up with not received if they dont agree to reroll/delete GA.

I believe you can make public giveaway with key that doesn't have a specific region lock, write region lock info to the description and support will accept a reroll.

Have heard that support dont accept that because its public and creator should have made it region locked.

I haven't heard that, only thing I heard was one guy crying about it here and support commented that the re-roll would have been accepted if the guy would have followed the instructions in the ticket.
Would be really stupid that all EU people would need to make giveaways only for Poland (as Germany might not be able to redeem them)...

That was true back before all of the region-locking madness. Now, you do the best you can to intend your giveaway for the proper audience, including region restrictions, disclaimers, and anything else you can think of to avoid a re-roll.
And then someone who can't activate the game ends up winning, anyway, and you have to file a ticket. P

Depends. Not purchasable does not always equal disabled from activation. You may have an actual WW key.
But if not, if it is really just ROW, then you need to pick a region from anything but SEA or CIS and stick with it. You cannot exclude regions and you could post all the warning signs you want, if you set it to global as a giveaway, I could bet you rather large sums that it would take less than 10 entries to have at least 2 Russians and 1 Chinese on the entry list.

If it's an EU key then technically the only correct way to give it away is to create a giveaway for Poland or Germany. However Germany often have seperate keys/restrictions due to local laws and censorship, whilst Poland is sometimes grouped separately as part of RHCP.

Decided to risk a public giveaway (Lvl 3+) with no region restriction and a warning in the description.
I'll see what happens :)
Thank you for all the comments.

I got a problem with my actual giveaway - Dishonored, too. I bought it from the Humble Store Sale.
Dany (Dyn4ik) won it, but he's from RU so he showed me the screenshot were it says the key may not be redeemable for him.
I'm almost sure, I didn't get the "The key is available in the following country" warning when creating the humble gift link.
I had to reroll it now, pasted the key to the winner and it worked for him (RU too).
Any way to prevent this from happening? I don't want to make German exclusive giveaways only, but winners not getting their keys bothers me. It's the first time this happens to me in 40 giveaways, all other Humble giveaways were redeemable by russians too (some of my winners were russian).

So, I just got One Piece Burning Blood in my first ever Humble Monthly and want to give it away (totally uninterested in fighting games), but apparently it's region locked...
I'm in the UK, could someone please explain what I should select in the region restrictions when creating the giveaway? I'd like to avoid having to reroll the winner as I had to when I gave away NBA 2K17 ;)
Or is it better to make it invite only and make a discussion linking to it?
