I entered a group giveaway with 83 Entries and 1.2% chance to win

And ladies and gentlemen it happened

I didn't win anything

Moral of the story:

[1] I shouldn't get my hopes up.. every time.

[2] Statistics hates me the same way i hate it.

[3] You know what i also hate? Origin

I hope you don't hate Origin or easter eggs ;)

Nope, too lazy to do the math but 2.21 estimated wins means about 25% or so chance of not winning a single time. Still fully within the expected. When you get to 10 then you start to get into the realm of 'should have won' already and even then the size of this site means there is going to be plenty of people there.

Statistics say a probable outcome is that you would win two games by now, but you are here playing a game of chance and nothing is certain. I only get my hopes up when I'm in GA's with 5 people or less. Anything other than that is a bonus.

@Tut - Most people have their first win around 1500 entries (assuming most of them public). Since you are entering group giveaways you have better chances. Keep at it and you will get it.
