Just company of heroes 3 if there is a great deal.
I've read that it's not as good as the previous ones and my PC is a potato, but i'm curious.
So many potatoes in your poll ! Yum !! :d

I know none of the games from your list, so just wish you to get great deals on these ones !

this is my cart, should have a little more than enough steam wallet funds to pick it all up

on the VN bundle I already own Adabana so its just an additional discount for Atri, I want to play the VN before the anime airs next season.
don't really plan on getting much else... I really have to slow down my spending everywhere to pay medical bills

just glance at my steam wishlist... its going to be tempting to add so many of these VN's to the cart once the discounts are there.

Ended up getting:

Dave The Diver
BUSTAFELLOWS
Atri - My Dear Moments-
Assassins Creed Valhalla Complete Edition

I really didn't want to support Ubisoft but I loved Odyssey and Origins and since I put off buying it for 4 years I figured it's probably fine. I do wish they would add steam achievements so it won't look weird in my showcase, however.

Funny thing about Valhalla. The ending kind of blew my mind with some of the possibilities it offered, and I knew at that point exactly who the next game's protagonist was going to be, which ended up being correct. I loved Valhalla, but I didn't enjoy the Asgard sections so much. And the other aspect of the ending was something I've been curious if Ubisoft would exploit because it did also open the door wide open for a live services model lol. Also, Valhalla really leaned into Ubi's version of the Nemesis system. I've always wondered how they got away with that given as how it's a patented system and they aren't the patent holders.

Great thread! Let me make a list real quick.

METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE
Stardew Valley
Forza Horizon 4 (I think I will end up getting all the DLC as well)
Balatro
Chop Goblins
Squirrel Stapler
Another Crab's Treasure
Hypnagogia
Peglin
FAITH: The Unholy Trinity
Abiotic Factor
Trombone Champ
Payday 3
The Upturned

I'm mostly looking forward to these titles but I think I am realistically going to only get the following games

METAL GEAR RISING: REVENGEANCE
Forza Horizon 4

yes.. its the first game ever that ive refunded a hour after its release and the playtest before the launch was aboslutely terrible. i regretted prepurchasing it butatleast the time i played in the playtests wasnt counted so i didnt waste nearly 100 euro lol and i do still play payday 2

It is awful, but if it is cheap enough I might just get it so I can play it in the future if it gets good. I loved Payday 2 but Payday 3 dropped the ball pretty hard.

TL;DR: sorry I wrote too long again. Yes, most PD2 fans hate PD3, but it's not that bad for most people.
If Ubisoft and EA can make bank and get positive reviews, surely there are tons of people out there who will love PD3.

Edit: Dang. I took so much time to write that 2 replies got there by the time I sent the message. 😭

Yeah, even devs themselves prefer the previous one (their CM himself plays/streams PD2 much more than PD3 when not promoting PD3 updates or something).
It's not that bad if you don't know the franchise and are just looking for an FPS heist game that has both sneaky stealth and guns blazing horde shooter gameplay in the same game (and sometimes in the same mission), but when a new entry in a series has "graphics improvement because we went from proprietary engine to UE5" as the main big improvement... Kind of hard to counter the various downgrades they have (first of all always online even for solo gameplay which was not a case in PD2, needing to matchmake even to play solo which was not a case in PD2, broken XP grind to improve weapons (and broken XP system overall compared to PD2), and many others that you can find easily with Google/Reddit).
There are a couple improvements for sure, there are new stealth mechanics that are interesting... But, eh. There's a reason why it started Overwhemingly Negative and is to this day still Mostly Negative (I just checked).
Also a bunch of "mishaps", like selling 3 skins (pair of gloves + mask + suit) for $4 just 3 months after release even though that was the pre-order reward, and announcing some "huge QOL updates" that were just things that should have been there on release and we know the devs were fully capable of doing them since those features were already there in PD2, sometimes even PD1 (aka PD:TH/Payday: The Heist).

I like David Szymanski's work so I would be more than happy to try Chop Goblins as well. I do want Another Crab's Treasure but the 30€ price tag is quite hefty and it would be my first soulslike so I'll hope for a deep discount, I doubt it will be cheap enough this Summer Sale but maybe someday.

Dave does quality work for sure. I prefer his psych horror over his boomer shooters, but he does kind of have the Meidas Touch with developing games.

I've played a lot of Soulsborne games. This one does seem like an ideal entry into the genre, and I know it also has a cheat mode baked in where your crab is given a gun that can one shot almost anything if you choose to enable it lol.

A what now? A gun? Sign me up...

I personally enjoy both his psychological horror games as well as his boomer shooters. Dusk was absolutely phenomenal, so was Iron Lung. I'm also looking forward to Butcher's Creek and I might buy it when it comes out.

Most likely "Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes" unless it doesn't go on sale. Have tried trading for it for weeks. But people are sitting on it despite offering games from their wanted list.

So, I will just get it four 4 € in sale. After that, don't know. Will try to keep my unplayed games below 10. Have to finish some other games for that first. If I find time between Vermintide and Wizordum.

I haven't decided what I'm going to get yet, I like to just wait for the sale, check my wishlist and if anything is on a good sale and I feel like playing it then I'll grab it.
But these are some of the games I'm more interested in grabbing on the summer sale:
-Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy
-Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
-Peglin
-Zooplop
-Passpartout 2: The Lost Artist
-FATAL FRAME / PROJECT ZERO: Maiden of Black Water
-Roguebook - Fugoro, Mercant of Wonders DLC
-The Last Door - Collector's Edition
-The Bunny Graveyard
-God of Weapons
-Enter the Gungeon
-INDIKA
-Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Season Pass 1 and 2 DLCs

Peglin is cool! Kind of like a pegging Slay The Spire. But I doubt I want the game for its retail price. Maybe like 5€-7€ would be fair for it. But again, I doubt the game would be cheap enough this Summer Sale, we'll just have to see I guess.

Biggest one maybe is the Hooded Horse bundle. 10 games, 48% bulk discount, but only one is on sale, so if they all go on sale, the price might not be quite so nuts. I'd like to see it well under $100, but I'm pretty sure I am out of my mind.

https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/27508/Hooded_Horse_Publisher/

Other than that a few VR games that just never go on sale (Blade & sorcery / beat saber)

I am trying to discipline myself to buy only 80% discount stuff I want, but that doesnt always happen...

Sea of Stars isn't as vast as you might think. It took me around 33 hours to finish it. Although the 100% would take longer.

Days Gone OTOH. Pretty sure I put like 70 hours into that one. One of my all time favorite zombie style games.

We have so many consoles that have died, and systems that don't have stores anymore, that we try for physical media for anything that we think we'll really like. Hades, Tunic, Horizon ZD, etc. They are always more expensive though, and some games don't have very good versions on the cart, so you have to read.

Star Wars Battlefront on PS4 wouldn't even start! It just black screened, until it got the full update downloaded.

found out KINGDOM HEARTS 358/2 Days (HD cutscene compilation) means its ONLY the cutscenes.....wtf??? thought it was the same game but with hd cutscenes and they only remastered them
3 games that are just cutscenes and they didnt port the games.....
and refuned it. KH3 came out in 2019 and it not worth that price and the other game bundles are wacked....

Too many potential, but I'm thinking of a Yakuza collection at the first place. Elden Ring and Sekiro are also in my head, but with my "investmwnt" in soulslikes they are questionable.

Permalink

I didn't really enjoy Sekiro personally. It's too reliant on parrying and perfect timing, which I am not good at, lol.

Elden Ring OTOH. 160 hours, and the 100% (on PSN). But, if you don't think you would stick with it, it's probably one to skip.

The Yakuza collection will almost certainly see a deep discount.

I got exactly the same issue, mosyly because 4 and 5 are a bit outdated and do not have the same QOL features than the remastered/more recent ones.

I had one in particular, but Bandai decided to start their "summer sale" before Steam's. As such now Im in the predicament of either buying the game now and potentially miss the release window of a new visual novel I been looking forward to since last year. Or buy Bandai's game next sale and end up not getting anything for this sale if the visual novel dont release for Summer as advertised originally...
