Also, fairly similar to my suggestion here
My analogy was to an email inbox... I want to move/hide/mark threads so I'm not seeing them every time I view my discussions section on SG just like I move items out of my email inbox so it's more manageable to see just the items I'm interested in.

The forum got messed up lately, so yes, I'd love to clean it up myself and see only what I care about.

Edit: Wait, who necro'd this? :D

Looks promising, but seems it has a different incompatibility with SG++.
It just makes the whole line of the discussion link, title, creator, and their avatar darkened, but not at all hidden.
If anything, it makes it stand out with a reverse highlight. haha
May be time to compare ESGST and SG++

I'm not pasting it to everyone. They can check back themselves.

Seemed to work when I tested it. The enabling of the setting seemed a little convoluted, so maybe didn't quite click the right thing to trigger its rules.
Now testing ESGST and it has user ignoring built in, seems effective without the extra scripts from this discussion.

I personally don't feel any need to hide certain discussions but this one is just too annoying. I'd write it in the concerning thread but I don't want to contribute to it staying on the discussions page for longer. It's such a pain to navigate through the discussions now...

So glad that I have 'SGIgnore' script, but it seems like the author deleted it :( See the post below for a solution (I hope).

Suggestion:
I'd like to go through my discussion page and hide any discussions that I deem too similar, political, or even just pointless. I've got a type A personality, so I like having order whenever I can. I know there's a 'forget this topic' button, but to my knowledge, it doesn't actually remove the discussion. Having a system as simple as the giveaways, where you can just hide the ones you don't want to see anymore would be fantastic.
