I liked Perfect World International a lot.

While not free, I would recommend looking up The Secret World some time. No subscription, but an initial payment for the game, along with buying additional story chapters. Managed to hold my attention for 19 hours. That is about 18 more than any other MMO.

Path of Exile is cool, if you like games like Diablo. Also, I'm sure you can find some World of Warcraft private servers with previous expansions. Finally, check this out.
