Sounds way too complicated. Also there's not much wrong with the current system, and you seem to hove won a decent amount of games so it's not like you have no luck whatsoever with how things are right now.
What you suggest seems more fit for a completely separate site than trying to force it into this one, just my opinion.

No, I completely agree. I was by no means trying to do it for myself though, just more of an idea that popped into my head. I have definitely won my share of games, and I think I made it much more complicated than it really is. The system in this site is pretty much the perfect system. My thought process was that maybe some people were feeling like taking a little more of a risk for a reward potentially much greater though. I do agree that it would be very difficult to implement, and may not necessarily be right for this site. I just happened to have the idea in my head, and I figure why not share it and see where it goes. Edit I meant this to be a possible addition that people have the opportunity to use on the side, not a full overhaul of the original system.

Is just that I'm more used to seeing this type of completely different system proposed by people that haven't had much luck and assume there's something wrong going on, that was why I found it weird.
But I do think that for the idea to have some sort of hope of working it should be a paralel site or section, similar to how steamtrades or the now defunct deals used to work before the fork.

Interesting, I think I could create a site with those capabilities. I Know basics in some coding languages, and I would be interested in the challenges of learning more to create something like that. For the people who aren't having much luck with the current system, if they are reading this, I would have to say just to watch everything going on, calculate your probabilities of winning and enter giveaways that give you a higher percentage of winning based on the number of people enter, number of games given in the particular giveaway, etc. It's all just simple math, and trying to give yourself the best chance possible. That's what I try to do, and it tends to work in my favor. Thanks for the advice, I'll look into what making a site for that entails.

Yes and no. I think everything has the potential to move in any particular direction depending on the ideas of the users on said site. I think there could be a small side area with things like this, I just figured since I use this site quite a bit I should put in ideas I have based in any direction it has the possibility of going in. I don't necessarily want this site to go in that direction. I do however think the potential is there. I believe it is my duty to post my ideas to see whether or not it could possibly improve the site in any way.

I was thinking about what could be implemented into this site to make it better. In the end I came up with an idea of possibly adding a new system aside from just the standard giveaway. With this system there could potentially be a cache of games stocked by members in the community by either donation or attempting to acquire a different game from anything stored in the cache. This could be, say for theoretical argument, a 50% chance to get any one game in said cache of games just for putting a game into the system. This allows for the cache to get infinitely big depending on the luck of the person who decides to test their luck. An alternative way of using this system could be to put all 300 points into an attempt at getting any game present with a lower percentage to win. To give this the ability to work there could be a period of time where members can strictly donate games until a certain content, say 1000 games, is met in return for a few free attempts at using this system. Additionally, a new system of points could be added for this specific giveaway. These points would only be able to be acquired through donating games. To summarize, this system can be used as an alternative to giveaways where one puts in a game with a chance to get another game. Thanks you for your time, and I hope this was helpful to the site in some way or another.
