Simple question here, do these beta access gifts "unwrap" themselves automatically? I mean, I've got one today and I thought "Okay, it's neat, but I bet there's people out there who would play it a tad more than I would" so I saved it for later, asking around friends. Now, when I look at my games library it's there... Of course, I've got an additional copy as well, so it may be just the usual drill. Which is why I'm asking this, are they supposed to unwrap themselves or is this a glitch here?

I am under the impression that if you are selected for the beta through your survey response, Steam automatically adds the beta to your account (and may additionally give you an invitation to give away).

If you get into the beta you get a copy in your library and one to give away.

You applied to play it with that survey, not to get a tradable copy. You got an extra copy to give to a friend. All's legit here.

Fair enough and thanks for the info. Thing is, when I applied to it, I had much more free time and a more stable PC build, right now I'm on an old crappy computer which may die at any moment (clicking sounds from the hard drive, anyone?)... But I'll try my best and play it as much as I can then.

It's likely to be in open beta soon (I think a month before release in August was mentioned somewhere). Clicking sounds aren't a good sign, any data you want should be backed up ASAP before it dies. Your hard drive is dying but the rest of the computer should be okay if you just replace that.

Thing is, it does that with every single SATA hard drive I put into it. CPU gets overused (usually 100% according to task manager) and the hard drives do get damaged, or at least the files on it. Looked up every possible explanation, found nothing on it so I'm just enjoying the ride until I can and naturally, not putting anything important on it :P

It sucks for me because I can't play it. It blue screens me :P
And I can handle graphically intensive games, and CSGO is not hard to run at all.

blue screen means something is wrong with your PC, something in the game is just triggering it, if you read the blue screen info you could find out whats going on and fix it.
