hello SteamGifts Forum Users ;p

i have downloaded "DivXInstaller.exe" from the The DivX Site and i downloaded the Whole package as there seems to be NO offline installer anymore....... anyway the problem is that when i open a MKV or .mp4 the DivX player just wants to download A Codec but thats all integrated :/

i uninstalled it and re install DivX Plus package 10.2.3 but i cant use that version with any international Movie DRM Streaming Services.

Thanks

Uninstall it, install K-lite Codec Pack with Media Player Classic.

Thank me later.

Codec Packs just suck...
DivX itself is a different codec than x.264 or h.264, just sayin'

If you ignore that vlc is not a good standalone player, then yes.

What's wrong with VLC? BluRays are a bit of a problem, but everything else runs fine.

I guess its because its not customizable? Never had any issue with VLC, certainly less hassle then installing a bunch of codec packs. K-lite installed has resulted in my system bluescreening so Im bias.

Wait, "not customizable"??... it's open source, so it is.
