Day 7

Day 7 was about a 4 hour drive, so we headed out right after the Onagadori Center. After about an hour, we took a break for desserts at Kochi River View Cafe. Aptly named, as it sits right along the Niyodo River.

We got the Chestnut ice cream, french toast. They also had a freezer in the back filled with ice crin varieties. Last chance to have ice crin, since we were leaving Kochi! I got the imokenpi flavor. Kind of disappointing - it's basically just normal cream flavor, but with imokenpi pieces inside.

Imokenpi (🍠)
Old-fashioned sweets.
Sliced it, fried sweet potatoes, fried and seasoned.

It is an ice cream that is sold only in that area for a limited time.

How is ice crin different from ice cream?
I looked it up but got a couples different definition.

I found this (unsure how true it may be), seems to have to do with how much milk solid (cream? fat?) is in it:

Ice cream > 15%
Milk ice > 10%
Ice crin < 3%

Thanks, actually that makes sense, on the picture it does look a lot less creamy than ice cream.

That chestnut ice cream looks divine! (All the ice cream soft-serve places near me basically just give a sloppy mess of swirls)
