Same here.
More info on the Steam Deck page:
I've heard Steam Deck is being delayed, is that true?
While we did our best to account for the global supply chain issues (by which we mean we factored in extra time to account for these risks and worked with multiple component vendors), our manufacturing plans were still impacted. Material shortages and delays meant that components weren't making it to our manufacturing facilities on time. Missing parts along with logistical challenges means delayed Steam Decks, so we needed to push out shipping by two months to February. We’ll continue working to improve reservation dates based on the new timeline, and will keep folks updated as we go.
Do I keep my place in line?
Yes, your place in line is still the same. Everyone is shifted back to the new timeline and you will still get a message to make your purchase in the same order you reserved.
What is my new reservation window?
You can see your updated estimated order availability timeframe above - make sure you're logged in.

To be fair; it's partly because almost 60% of the world buys their chips from ONE company. If you put all your eggs into one basket and the basket breaks; tough luck.

I suggest you look wherever you want for port delays, and then chip shortage. Some keywords to start with. For someone who usually acts like they know a lot in the forums, I have no idea how you dodged either one of these two just by walking outside, if you ever do. Why do you think there's a gpu shortage, cause of unicorns? No, because of a chip shortage across the world because of how the chain works. Why do you think stores have problems getting certain products in? Because many workers don't want to return to their low paid job at the port so thousands of items are there, but just sitting in ports with no one to put them on trucks to transport them. So who do you think gets your merch from the port onto the truck? Santa?
You think valve has a valve factory in china to make their boards, and a valve ship, and a valve port, and a valve truck? Ok lmao ?! Good meme.

Valve isn't gonna ship to others if they can't even get the product in the USA. Think about where their main company is located, and where they do product quality assurance. Chip shortage is across the world, originating in china since they produce like 80% of the worlds chips. The whole world is at fault for letting one country alone supply all the chips. We gave them a monopoly over it, so they can charge whatever they want for them or control supply. My city is in the process of building a chip factory by 2024, but who has time for that? In the meantime we have to deal with the current situation. When covid started there were around 15k to 30k companies in china that flipped from doing whatever they were doing before to making masks and sanitizing products because it was so profitable. Why would they go back to hard work when that demand hasn't diminished enough? Also most products across the world are delivered via cargo ships not planes. Sure, they probably could, then the steam deck would probably add another $100 to it's price. Shipping via ship is much, much, much cheaper than through air, and just because the "port of la" is the biggest in the news doesn't mean the same outcome with a shortage of employees doesn't happen everywhere. At least in the US here many stores have a difficult time getting even the most simple products.
I've been to a few stores here and they had no Nutella because in france the workers at the nutella company were on strike at the time, this was a few months ago. You can't predict who's making what pcb's or what for valve and if someone else is paying a lot more to have some ready faster I can see how theirs would get delayed regardless of the original date or some contract.
PS: I highly doubt if China had delays in their ports that they would actually let that go on the media like "port workers found better jobs or want better working conditions". Reminder it is China, so it would be censored. You'll never hear of that.

It makes me sad but Its not unexpected. I was Q2, now it just says after Q2.
So while I was never at the front of the line I was looking forward to seeing reviews once they shipped. That wont' happen until Feb at the soonest now. I still look forward to it.

Just got this email:
The launch of Steam Deck will be delayed by two months. We're sorry about this—we did our best to work around the global supply chain issues, but due to material shortages, components aren’t reaching our manufacturing facilities in time for us to meet our initial launch dates.
Based on our updated build estimates, Steam Deck will start shipping February 2022. This will be the new start date of the reservation queue—you will keep your place in line but dates will shift back accordingly. Reservation date estimates will be updated shortly after this announcement.
Again, we're sorry we won’t be able to make our original ship date. We'll continue working to improve reservation dates based on the new timeline, and will keep you updated as we go.
