A few days ago they updated one of the Midnight Mysteries games due to that (saw an update being downloaded so went to check what it might be) and noticed a post saying "Our top priority is making sure all of our catalogue titles are working on newer machines (which takes a bit of time on old engine tech!)".

Nice! The dev I have been talking to just said that they will be posting an announcement on each game after it is updated so everyone can tell when the game has been updated.
EDIT: Here is an example- http://store.steampowered.com/app/15900/

If you bought the Mumbo Jumbo bundle on Groupees a few months ago you may have been disappointed that your newly acquired games were practically unplayable due to their constant crashes on Windows 8. Fret no more! I have been in contact with a developer and they informed me that they are steadily going through their older steam games and updating them to work with the latest operating systems! Woo :) Read the thread I linked for more information.
