I know, 7k games is ridiculous! Yet I can't stop collecting more and more...

I would've never imagined it would escalate this much when I got my first game, CS:S on April 26th, 2006...

What was your first game on Steam?

Cuphead
Dishonored 2

Congratulations on 7K games :)

My first install was on 12 Sep, 2003 - Half-Life Platinum Pack which also gave me CS1.6. I'd been up all night playing CS1.5 and Hoyle games waiting for Steam and CS1.6 to come out in the morning while getting drunk as the 12th is my birthday.

Thanks for the giveaways. :D

The first thing I bought on Steam was The Orange Box, so I guess we can count Team Fortress 2 as my "first" game (this was around Christmas 2010). I didn't really start using Steam much until the next Christmas when I bought Orcs Must Die! though.

wow, 7k! congrats!

I bought a physical copy of Half Life, and had to register on Steam to play CS1.5 (or was it 1.4), so I believe HL was my first game on Steam. BUT I lost that account years ago. Stopped playing, and then stopped using my email account. Now that email doesn't exists anymore, so it's gone for good.

On my current account, my first purchase was Dungeonland (Feb 2013) - now f2p and probably dead- to support the developers.

As mentioned in an earlier comment, if you have a physical copy of a game you activated on your old account, you can get it back via Steam support.

They will ask you to write stuff next to the CD key you used and send it to them.

steam support sucks hard. I can't find my way to create a ticket or something. tried to activate again, it sent a email to my old account (that doesn't exists anymore)

Start here, enter your account name, once it found your account click "I no longer have access to this email address" and fill out the form. (Make sure to attach an image of the CD key!)

Edit: Make sure you're not logged in. You can do the whole process in incognito mode.

awesome, thanks! another question, if you don't mind: it will give me access to my old account, yes? no chance I can recover the key and used it on my current account instead?

No, that's not possible. Once a game is activated on an account, it is tied to that account forever. If you want the game on your other account, you have to buy it again.

There's a workaround tho, you can grant yourself/your new account access to your old accounts' library and play the games (atleast those that are available via Steam Family Sharing) on your new account.
