I'm so sad that this happened to Vivi. :\
If you're new to trading, ONLY trade with people with high positive rep here on Steam Gifts. Also make sure that their Steam profile is really the same one that is registered here on SG. There are impersonators.

Somehow on the way, I build my rep (0-10) via buying things on SG, trading only with high rep persons, which means I go first.
Once you have enough rep, you can bargain around who's to go first.

Hah, every trader might experience this one day, or even multiple times. Be more careful next time and always check their rep on steamrep. If the person you're trading with trades with keys, never go first if yours is a gift, that's pretty much a general rule now.

I trust nobody, and I've made plenty of trades (steamgifts and other website)
How? Because I only trade with high rep. It's in their best interest to not mess up their reputation. I've never been scammed since I started using reputation features website.

if you got scammed here, make a support ticket (just make sure it wasn't an impersonator).
you can also report that user in steamrep, but they are a "bit" slow.

This is why you don't trade anything outside the trade window. Reporting to Steam rep is a waste of time they are a useless site that is backed up for ages.

Since you traded outside the trade window, No steam will not help you out.

That's unfortunate Mas, sorry to hear. But yeah trading keys with strangers is super risky and there's just hordes of scammers out there these days who prey on good people :o)
