I've been playing Far cry 3 lately

I've been playing Far cry 3 lately and when i try to save it shows the saving icon but it doesnt save the icon just keeps circling what should i do help please

Do you only have this problem when manually saving or also when the game auto-saves? When you buy/sell stuff at a vendor/machine it auto-saves too.
