Yeah what I understood initially was we'd get to keep our "collages", but not the stickers themselves. Which seemed unnecessarily restrictive :/

There is already a badge for unlocking everything. A bit sad to see it go though, but I can understand how giving us one new profile spot with each event isn't quite sustainable.

It is worse. As in, actually worse, since JPEG is a lossy format, while PNG is a lossless one. Simply put, a JPEG picture will never be able to look as good as a PNG one, even if you use the highest settings when saving.

Designer here. My lowest standard for saving images on my machine is png (images i care, stock photos, sprites, etc_.
But casual stuff on the internet? All hail the jpeg!!

I didn't see that message anywhere so I tried featuring one on my profile just to see how it works. Saw the two weeks message but how do you get it off your profile? Hitting edit doesn't give an option to remove it. Going to regular profile edit doesn't even show it.

OhYouFolly... Recently read that you can go to edit it, press save, and not press feature after, and it will remove itself. Not sure though, since I haven't tried it myself.

What was the point of them then?Every time Valve comes up with something half decent they get rid of it but all the crap they should get rid of they keep.
The whole point of a sticker collection is to have them and keep them and in this case, an even better addition was you could change them up.I did not like them at first as I saw them as another pointless half baked replacement of an event but then I liked the idea and now they are expiring.
Though it's not clear on how they are expiring so I must assume all of it will be gone.
Valve really should fire whoever is in charge of these event's if it is Gaben he needs to do us all a favor and fire himself from future sale events.

Looks like they weren't meant to be permanent after all.
edit: When the thread was created, Steam said showcases will expire in 3 weeks, but it was quickly changed into 2 weeks. I think the actual date is 2017.08.05 (the day sale cards expire), though it's just a wild guess.
