So... you sent him an already used key, he disconnected, and now you are calling him a scammer, do I understand the sequence of events correctly?

After you sent him an invalid key and asked for his key in return.

I had checked his profile and saw that it was strange, as I had had an experience with this, I wanted to do a test, of course I would send the correct key if he sends me to the game, do not need cheats to get my games

How exactly was he supposed to know that you are not a scammer? So far, the only firm conclusion is that you are willing to go first and send an invalid key. Everything else is just a hunch.

I'm telling the truth, believe it or not and respect their opinion about me, I'm only trying to help everyone not to suffer the same fate as mine.
thanks for your opinion.

Technically speaking you're the scammer. You agreed to send him a working key then sent him a used one in hopes for him to send you his key in return. You may very well have been doing this to "test him" but you broke your end of the deal first. If you sent me a used key after acting so suspicious guess what I would have done? Deleted your ass. Just saying lol. <3

Why didn't you ask for his Steamtrades profile (and check it against his Steam ID), FFS?
There's no helping you shakes head.

Good work, report him on steamrep!!And next time tell him YOU.GOT.OWNED.BITCH . For those who missed the party ,my experience with a scammer and impersonator click here

Yet he may have saw the key was invalid and got pissed and thought he was going to get scammed?

So many wannabe "scam busters" on this forum lately.
As has been noted before, you gave the guy a dupe key and he left. What does that prove? That doesn't prove he's a scammer. He probably just thought YOU are a scammer or are wasting his time.

he used fake profile, check.

I admit that I am wrong to have used a duplicate key, but to be sure, I would never fool him if he gave me the key, I would correct him.

What would you do if he gave you an invalid key? (I'm genuinely curious.)

well, I have a valid key of the game, if he send me the key, but if not I would not make the trade, do not trust in anyone.

I admit that would be my response too (to at least try to talk to the person that gave the dupe key), but different people have different reactions.
I have had dealings with some legitimate honest traders that are very much in a hurry and are no-nonsense. They often come across as a bit gruff / terse even. I can imagine them just blocking someone that is wasting their time.

I don't normally block people, but I do a LOT of TF2 and Dota item trades. If someone gives me an unreasonable offer, I don't bother correcting, I just ignore them. I would do the exact same thing if I were this remikovsky and received an invalid key. I'd just close the chat and if I was planning on logging out, I'd log out.

+1. That would be the reasonable response. If the person giving the key is going first anyway, what's the harm in letting him know the key has been used and to ask for another one?

I respect your point of view, thanks for your opinion. =)

Why are people so easily fooled. I assume its age and ignorance but damn, its so blatant that he had no intention of sending anything and his reasons were weak and he kept repeating the same thing.. Should have been red flags the whole time.

I think he tried to add me (or maybe it was my friend). Usually, if someone didn't write comment on Steam Trades, is using different account or is acting strangely - is a scammer. All you need to avoid scammers is just checking his ST/SG profile and SteamRep.

Today, I found another scammer by the name of "remikovsky.", Added me to make the switch with my Bordlands2, but as I had lost him, asked if there was another game that had already talked suspicious.
I then had some keys of games and decided to try, look at what went:

I never imagined that among us here in the community have so many scammers, is a warning to all.
Stay in peace.
PS: Key used, only used to test
