Hm, English localization is among the stretch goals. Didn't read the whole pledge, but am wondering, which language is the project developed in then? (Probably Italian, since the devs seem to be Italians).
It doesn' thelp their campaign to not include localization for Europe's biggest adventure game market: Germany.

I'm 99% sure that stretch goals are just poorly formulated, but yes, that's confusing indeed.

at least, we Italians are famous for something good sometimes =P
I didn't know about this one, anyways I found many articles in Italian - I'm translating from this one
Horror Maestro Dario Argento wrote "For Bridget", the short film of "Dreadful Bond" which launches the Kickstarter campaign of the new horror adventure by the Clod Studio Italian developers.
Realized with Unreal Engine 4, and making use of the same graphic engine of the real game, the short film proposed by the director [..] takes us into the nightmarish/distressing atmosphere of the Wharton estate/manor.
The dark adventure by Clod Studio and Dario Argento will be narrated through the exclusive use of a first-person (POV shot) camera in order to make us live first-hand the fears of our alter-ego/main character, someone with an unknown identity who will have to explore the manor and piece together the memories of the heinous crimes committed there by the family who lived in the manor itself.
I'm translating.. I should add, at 3.00 PM so sorry for my mistakes.. =P thanks for the heads up =) It definitely looks interesting, at least!

as other websites like this one say, anyways, Dario Argento worked with Clod Studio (Italian developers by the way) to create both the main character and the scenario, his role is put as "artistic director" as you wrote in the OP and his quote cited on that website says like this:
Dreadful Bond is a project that's very close to my themes, my movies and my dreams, it bears something deep that struck me at first glance. So, I let Clod Studio developers take me through this new voyage
and yeah, it goes on describing what the game looks like, the "acoustical" interface which will "substitute" the usual "graphical" one and yeah, I hope I added something useful for the non-Italian public =P

From what I've got, it's a black-and-white first person adventure game (a horror one, obviously). Maestro Argento's role in the development of the game is described as "artistic director"; they've even released an in-engine short film directed by Argento. Personally I'd love to play such a game, but unfortunately as of now it looks unlikely that the campaign is going to be successful; spreading the word a bit won't hurt, I guess.
