yeah, it should be okay to trade the extra copy, as long as you've activated the game.

You should be also allowed to make a giveaway for that game as well.

The way I see it is it's like getting trading cards from a game. You can do whatever you wish with it.

No, you MUST contact Steam support and DEMAND they activate the second copy to your account as well.
Either that or get some poe-tat-toe and a couch and go wild.

Don't mind the trolls.
Yes, you can trade the extra copy. As long as you activate the game upon winning, you can feel free to do whatever you may want to do with any other copies of the game.

The giver has a claim on the extra gift, if he doesnt claim the extra its yours to whatever you want

That only applies if prior notice was given by the creator of the giveaway. If the creator gave you two copies by accident, instead of one, you are not required to return the extra copy. You do, however, have a moral obligation to at least check with the creator of the giveaway to see what he or she wants done with that extra copy.

lets not turn dishonest, you just won a GA from a guy, he is giving you a GAME free of charge, dont take his other gifts, yes you sure have a big moral obligation to make him feel good, give him a proper thanks too!
