Chaos Rising's campaign is a direct sequel to the base game's campaign. So recommendation is to play the base game first, then the expansion.
Retribution is more of a stand-alone title, that focusses more on on skirmish/multiplayer. You've got more races/armies to play, and each does have a short campaign - until you realize that every campaign is the same basic 7 missions with small tweaks to put your chosen army in the lead role.
No prior knowledge of base game and/or Chaos Rising required though.

So, if I'm getting it right, what you are saying is that they are 3 independent games? I can not play the first campaign if I don't have the first game installed, even if I have the second one. Same goes for the third.
Then, for skirmish playing, the best choice would be Retribution since it has more armies and I guess all the content (talking just abou skirmish, thats armies, maybe mechanics?) of the first two, plus some new contents (armies). Am I right?

As far as I remember, you need to install base game before you can install Chaos Rising. But it's been about a year and a half ago since I last played them, so I could be remembering wrong.
Retribution can be installed as a standalone title, that I'm sure of..

Thanks a lot for the info. I really really apreciate it, it was such a mess in my head when I saw it was three games instead of just one wih DLCs :/
Gonna start with the first one campaign, then go for Chaos Rising for the second campaing and I'll see if the skirmish/MP content of Retribution is more complete than those two.
Thanks a lot again :)

From what I've been told Retribution has a worse campaign but it does include all he MP content so it depends what you want.

That's more or less what @Nanabanana told me, I was thinking specially about skirmish mode, which one of them three offered more content (units, armies, etc), cause when I finish the campaigns I'd like to play skirmish and obviously it would be much better to have just the one that has more content.

So I ought HB tier 2 bundle and I got, among others, 3 games. Warhammer 40k Dawn of War II, W40kDoWII Chaos Rising, and W40kDoWII Retribution.
My question is, which one to play? I mean, are they diffent? As far as I know, the later 2 are just "expansinons" of the first, but all of them are "played together". I just want to play the game, and of course, the more complete experience I can get since I paid. So, which one should install and play?
