This section is for Steam Group recruitment. Please remove the curator plug.

I think the rule of thumb is that you can't have curator links in forums, only in giveaway descriptions? I'm a bit foggy on it, just going off this discussion D:

Okay. Isn't that what all groups are about? I'm confused now. This is a grey area.
Our aim isn't to gain anything, any more than a regular "group". All groups seek to gain something by adding members aka follow.
For curation... it's to promote developers in general, and use a medium to help us to get more informative reviews on things in attempts to help Steam as a whole. It simply sabotages all aspects of growth doing this... witch-hunts basically, saying this group is okay because it's a "group" and this one is not because it's "curation" so I am quite confused. Aren't all groups guilty by this message?
I'd like to appeal please. Where can we do so? Can we get a definitive reason - instead of having a blurred line. Every group is gaining stuff that I find on these discussions. I can't find a single one that isn't attracting some form of customer-like relationship.
Remove recruitment then. Recruitment by definition is gaining something... This defeats the entire reason to have any sub called this...
WTF am I missing?

Preaching to the choir, man :P
OP of that thread argued something similar, and it makes sense, I get ya. For the record, I really like the AA curator, and just followed it out of interest (for more decent quality curators) and the links on here for convenience.
I was just giving you a heads-up since I noticed this has been discussed before. I ain't the law, though 🤷

Thanks for the message! I'll have to remove my pages I guess... and just do giveaways when I feel the urge. Too bad, as it was fun while it lasted. When are we gonna ban the section I wonder. They're all guilty, since it is... umm... recruitment? Just like in Salem, Massachusetts. Let the fire burn!!

It's a pretty fine-line distinction to make... I guess it's just there because the 'groups' can be used to directly make those raffle-type giveaways that is the point of this site (y'know, with that whole whitelist + groups section), whereas 'curators' don't get that. Makes my head hurt a bit, but that's the conclusion I'd come to 😓
And I would normally say you could probably be safe with just removing the curator links specifically from your threads instead of renewing the threads altogether... but since you did giveaways based on number of followers for the curator as well I can't be sure since that's probably still counted as soliciting by these rules... sorry I'm not much more help. I wish I had that insider support knowledge ;-;
