Borderlands 2 or Sins of a solar empire

I would go for Borderlands 2

Go with both of them and pick up Secret of the Magic Crystals while you're at it. Problem solved.

If you want some coop fun go with Borderlands 2 ;D the first was a bit repetetiv in missions and terrain, but priceless coop fun ^^

(Btw isn't SoaSE already released? Bordelands 2 is releasing somwhere around fall this year ?)

If you like both, then buy both of them(?). Both are going to be great games, you can't really make a wrong choice.

I would have to say Borderlands 2 but that's just me lol. SoaSE:Rebellion looks fantastic so I suggest both if you have some extra dough.

Blands 2 for sure.

SoaSE is a really good game but price to time played ratio is much better with Blands.

Borderlands 2, it's going to be a blast with friends, just like the first one.

If you've got some friends to game with I would definitely choose Borderlands 2.
