Considering changing Sg's name....

I go to the group chat room every now and then. I don't see private/chat giveaways every time I go. I think you still need a bit of luck there -- someone has to have a giveaway going on, and they have to advertise it in the chat while you're there.

I see you in the list of top contributors this week, so thanks! By the time I visited chat late in the evening, you were done though. And since people typically aren't going to sit in the chat room 24/7 and see everything that happens, I still say you need some luck in finding chat-only giveaways. There has to be overlap on both the giver's and receiver's side -- if you're not both in chat at the same time, you won't get a giveaway.

Around 10 months ago the biggest entry giveaway had between 300 and 400 entries.

Nowadays a known game such as MW3 will easily get 2000 entries or more.

I think that now with the free entry to the site, groups, private and contributor giveaways are amazing ways to "limit" or "fend off" the usual leecher, who unfortunetly i had the chance to meet a few.

Couple of months ago people were complaining due to the switch from invite only to the site to free entry, stuff like the ones mentioned are a way to counter that, and also promote giving back to the community, even if its just a 5$ dollar game. Those who actually enjoy giving away stuff are usually in groups and actually care about the community as a whole.
