Question about DLC!

I've noticed for most DLC's it says you can't go in if you don't have the base game.

I'm doing a giveaway for http://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/lNiep/castle-crashers-pink-knight-pack butit's open to everyone and I dunno what I should do. Should someone who doesn't win have the base game what would the suggested move be?

Reroll. Support will do that one easy. It's a bug with some dlc
