I watched the video, and similarity just popped in mind. Well, maybe it can offer more than that, but for the moment i dont see anything besides brief explanation what project should look like in the future. Another cool project that can potentially be more interesting is already mentioned - Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

Yep, I'm following it too but Kingdom Come is singleplayer only so they're not really similar.
What's different from many recent medieval games is they have an actual publisher and sponsors so there's a much bigger chance of finishing the development.

Hope so, but early access is nowadays a bad sign...

I loved war of the roses. Might be interested, but backlog and not wanting to buy stuff right when they come out. Will probably wishlist

hi
There's new cool game coming out soon (August 25th) - Of Kings And Men.
I'm kinda surprised no one is talking about it because whole concept is original and unique. It's main mode is Epic - persistent online campaign shaped by players with medieval directional combat combined with crafting, clan-warfare and huge battles between up to (maybe more later!) 200 players. You'll be able to wage wars as a commander, be a soldier in an army or live more peaceful life (beneficial for your kingdom of course).
First, it's NOT a survival game like many that were released recently. It's combat was inspired by Mount & Blade but it's much more fluid and has 8 directional system rather than 4. Game's main focus will be war between kingdoms, politics and combat.
There is a community driven document briefly explaining what is Epic (it's WIP but all info has been confirmed by devs) - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qDFfJX1VNY9PhvD7NuO_bCiIAagnVbZ39dRWoZyV9D0
Some footage from pre-alpha tests (combat only) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SC9vsDgclH0
Roadmap of development - https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/zt8k0zg7gp8a24i/Roadmap.jpg
You'll be able to simply fight in server-based battles too( like Mount & Blade multiplayer, Counter-Strike, etc.)
Here's Steam page - http://store.steampowered.com/app/430440/
Discord channel if you want to ask devs questions - https://discord.gg/015Ecllky6rS17Qk5
ps Want to make clear that I'm in no way connected to development and it's not an advertisement. Just making sure as many player as possible play it so I get more fun in game :3
