The cityscape was lovingly handcrafted by Downward Concept. From a basic idea, he visualized and inspired the setting through his grayscale mortar and brickwork. He lay the foundation for what would become the visual style of the entire story.

I can not stress enough how many whitelists he deserves to be on for his work or for putting up with my demands. He has made sure that almost 4 million pixels look like high level production quality. Including designing several characters and finalizing their animation walk cycles.

I personally created the other puzzles, which DC helped me with through ideas and discussions. I also created the fluff pieces for the animation, such as the chat bubbles, elevator, bomb and such, and put it all together.

As a final touch, CallMeKap, recorded his voice for the "detective" based on my script.

Love the intro cinematic you made!

It's great that my work has come to good use. When you were looking for an pixel artist I didn't expect to put in over 30 hours of work to make the city and characters, especially for free, but it turned out great and I gained a lot of experience in the process. It was fun doing it and I'm proud as fuck. This will be the first artwork to go in my new pixel art portfolio. :P

Also great job from Kap! That bedroom voice tho. I bet you gonna get some requests for dirty talk on Steam, watch out. :D

You did this animation/art by yourself??? Man amazing is an understatement, it's not even the right word, it's brilliant, it's awe-inspiring.
I also love the jazz style and the voice and atmosphere, reminiscent of great noirs from the 50s.

Needless to say, I simply and humbly bow to this great atmospheric short. Pixel or not it's Genius. Agents you have been following the case so far, should definitely check it out ASAP. Your sleeve tricks simply have no end. :O You keep surprising us!

PS1: I'm happy with just this animation. I probably won't find the time for puzzles this time, but it's ok, since I'm not interested in any of the games anyway. Actually I'm glad. All those puzzles this year have worn me down.
