Xuan-Yuan Sword VII (7), the 13th title in the long-running Xuan-Yuan Sword RPG series developed by Softstar Entertainment's DOMO Studio in Taipei, has just been released on Steam. The game is a real-time action RPG (a break from other games in the series) (with blocking, parrying, and rolling as well as campfires and respawning enemies) based on ancient Chinese history and mythology, and features a standalone story (with references to previous games, though anyone can pick up the series by playing this game first). I have just started playing the game, but it features crafting and facility management, character progression (combat styles and traits), monster capturing and summoning, and party management systems. The Steam release features English subtitles, controller support, and cloud saves. The PS4 release is set for today in Asia (except Japan, which will get a dubbed release in December) or later in other regions, with a Xbox One version on the way as well. Feel free to ask me anything about the game series, for it is my favorite video game franchise of all time!

Sidenote: I also highly recommend picking up the artbook and OST bundle if you get the game, as these have always been top-notch in this series. You can also claim a free cosmetic DLC in celebration of the series' 30th anniversary.
