I just learned that there isn't a place on the Steam Community to suggest games we want to come to Steam. So naturally I made a suggestion in the Steam Forums to make a category for it. Let's hope one of the staff takes that suggestion into consideration.

But seriously, I was really surprised that there isn't a place for the community to suggest games we want to come to Steam considering Steam is all about games. I thought the staff would want our ideas? Does anyone else on SG feel that we really should have a place to voice the games we want to be released on Steam?

Tell devs to submit their game to greenlight.

I've thought of that but obviously you can't always contact the devs. Take the PSN for example. There's no way to find out contact information.

You can look up who made the game and try to find contact info on their site.

There is a Greenlight forum for that. I should know, I got a good deal of hate for posting Girl With A Heart Of there.

Doesn't that only apply to the Greenlight itself? As in, what's already on it?

What? No. You can recommend anything you want.

You could always try emailing the devs/publishers and make a suggestion.

Okay, yes, but the whole thing is "How do I get contact information from those publishers?" Some of them, yes, I can. I could go to Desura for example easily and tell them about Steam Greenlight, but what if I wanted something from the Xbox Live Arcade or even a console game or simply some obscure website that has their own games?

I don't think it's Steam's job to contact developers themself, they're too awesome for that.

You first have to check if the games even have PC versions. You could anyway just Google the game and search for the homepage. Most games that are only on PSN, etc. are probably console exclusive and even when you contact the dev or publisher they won't make a PC version.

When there would be a place to suggest games, who would give the suggestions to devs? Should Valve beg every dev to out their games on Steam just because some unsers want it?
