Do you have already an PC? If yes, what parts do you have right now?
Anything you can use in a new build?
Like Case, PSU, Harddrive?
If yes: then no, don't buy this machine and say to us, what you have right now
If no: If 300$ is maximum i would still go with something like this: https://www.toptengamer.com/top-300-gaming-pc-build/
The problem with this build is, that the plattform is outdated. You will not be able to use any parts of this when you want to upgrade later.

As others say, depends what you want to do with it. There's no "good" as in "all-purpose good" PC at a $300 mark IMO.
As some others said too, that PSU is really overpowered compared to the rest. You could go for a 300W one and still have decent upgrade paths, I run an i7-6700K and a GTX1060 on a 330W PSU.
Also +1 to MachinesAreHuman, if you already have a PC it might be a lot more interesting to use it as a base.

Yeah but I think the best way to avoid that is to get a good quality PSU ^^
Sure if you get a crappy quality one, at least if it's 4 times too powerful it won't get stressed too much, but the best option is still to get a good one and aim for a 50-ish % PSU load at full system load (that's usually where you get the best efficiency). That CPU (with integrated graphics) is rated 100W, after all... At full load, that config must reach like 120-130W top

Questions I would ask: Is RAM DDR3 or DDR4? Does it take one or two slots (because you may want to upgrade)? Also worth checking if motherboard reboot functions properly - ASRock had problems with being unable to properly reboot in the past.
Oh, also probably worth checking if cooler is good, because your CPU runs at 100W, and it gets HOT.
Overall: not bad, even if that's not really a gaming PC.

Thanks for all of the feedback, guys. I appreciate it.
My current PC has mobo issues and also powered off during a Windows update, in addition to just being old (I built it in 2007), so I gotta start from scratch.
I should have said it in the OP, but I'm more interested in the price-point. I just wanna know if the components are worth the price tag.
I pretty much need it for only video editing and easy to run games like TF2 or Civ V.
Another reason I wanted to get one cheaply is because I'm open to getting a second, more powerful PC sometime in the near future, so I didn't want to spend too much now.

For $300 you can get a better PC on Ebay.
If you want to game you will need a graphics card, at least a GTX 1050ti and those cost about $160. If you want a better GPU than a 1050Ti you will need to upgrade your power supply.
A 1TB HDD is about $45. 8 GB of RAM is fine, for now, but you might end up wanting 16.
Seriously, check out Ebay, and use Paypal. Do not give your positive feedback unless you are completely satisfied. For $65 I bought an I5-2400 with 8 GB of RAM and a 2 TB HDD with Windows 7 installed (preference). I put a 1050 Ti into it and resold the PC for $300, and that is what you are looking to spend....
Edit: make sure your GTX 1050 is a 4GB version (Ti)

Something like this:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-Optiplex-990-3-3GHz-QC-i5-8GB-250GB-DVD-Win-10-Pro-Mini-Tower-Computer-B/372102371523?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
With this:
https://www.amazon.com/ZOTAC-GeForce-DisplayPort-128-bit-ZT-P10510A-10L/dp/B01MCU1ERO
would also be about $300 before tax and it would be more than capable.

As long as he doesnt want to spend much a gtx 1050 2gb is enough. If you judge from the build that he posted he doesnt want to play at ultra so 2 gb are more than enough

I would advise you to get an intel pentium g4560 or g4600 and for gpu a gtx 1050 2 gb or if you cant afford that get a gtx 1030

16 GB of ram is stupid while you go for that low budget. Also ssd for 300 bucks budget isnt worth it. Plus if you are going to get an ssd you can buy 128 Gb which is around 10 bucks more expensive than 64 GB
Comment has been collapsed.
Yeah i read it but i think for now he should avoid more than 8 gb of ram and an ssd

Absolutely not, for $60 extra, this will perform a lot better.

I didn't bother to read through all of the posts but honestly for 300$ you should maybe hold off. I mean you could probably stretch that 300 more than me in Canada but even still I'd say either try and save up some more or maybe forgo the build. At that low of a price point you're going to be making a lot of sacrifices that might not be worth the investment. It's your call really but in my experience a larger budget gives you a lot more flexibility. Good luck with the build my friend.

You could probably make a much better one for just an extra $100-$200.
You can make some killer "budget" PCs around $500-$600.
