free weekends keep you from entering a giveaway

So apparently if you play the game if it's free to play for a short time it keeps you from entering a giveaway with that game after the time is up. like I did with worms revolution

That must be a new issue. I took advantage of the CS:GO free weekend, clocked quite a few hours, and after the weekend ended and I re-synced, I was and still am able to enter giveaways for the game.

Not always. Depends when you auto sync. Manually sync on Wednesday, so auto syncs will happen that day.

It is because the game is detected in your library with the way Steam works.
