Napoleon: Total War vs. Empire: Total War

i prefer empire to napoleon. The main reason being the size of the campaign map. Playing total war on several fronts is very interesting and the navies served a major role. In napoleon the smaller map gives better pacing but makes navies a bit more useless.

I vote for Empire. It has only one problem comparing to Napoleon - vanilla battle AI is worst then Napoleon, but Napoleon vanilla battle AI is not good too. Actualy the only Total War game in gunpowder age that have acssepable BAI is Fall of the Samurai. But Empire still better game, becouse there is incredable mods that fix this. I can recomend Empire Realism (for Empire) and Napoleon Empire Realsm (for Napoleon). Also there is DarkMod for both of them and it's good too, espetialy with Bran Mac Born's submod.

definitely empire, i have both, and while i have got 30 hours in napoleon, in empire right now i have 383 hours

a good mod is minor factions revenge for empire
