Did u notice almost Internet companies update Privacy Policy in the same time lately?
Where have you been? This has been around the news pretty much anywhere around the internet - Basically EU privacy laws changed so anyone operating in Europe must change their privacy policies accordingly.

It's like spam time. And between my lawyer lady and my sister working in a web agency, I've been hearing about it for mooooonths. Get me outta here!
Seriously though it's a good law and it's coming to a country near you soon, non-Euros. Even the US are talking about it already and with Congress so far up business's ass, that's saying how unavoidable a law it is

It's a very good EU law, actually. Before companies could use with your data whatever they wanted, and you had exactly zero rights.
