Trine

Trine and Trine 2. Both are great.

Indie games: Cave Story, Dustforce, Trine, Super Meat Boy.

The first Rayman game, Jazz Jackrabbit games, Earthworm Jim, Oddworld games, Claw - these are old, but good.

Newer ones - Bionic Commando Rearmed

But you have much more of games like these on consoles, so you can try emulators (or buy a console, SNES, NES and PSX are really cheap these days). Super Metroid and Castlevania Symphony of the Night are platforming masterpieces.

I'd say Sonic Generations. Some decent Platforming there.

Check the genesis collection games on steam. A ton of Platformers in there.
A couple really good platformer gems that are similar: Ristar & Dynamite Heady.
