Do they get extra points or something? Why even bother and make fakes spending your own time?

When you make a giveaway, you get 10% of the points it costs to enter it, so making a ton of giveaways generates a ton of points. The people who make fake giveaways either want that point inflation or they want to troll.

Probably just to screw with others. Then again, they could also be trying to get points for themselves (multiple accounts to avoid ban) or their friends to try and win stuff with.

You get 10% of the points for you and you also make a lot of people spend their points on your giveaway.

Thanks for replies, guys. Is there a FAQ on how to spot those guys to avoid them?

Broken English seems to be a pretty recurring factor lately, though obviously not 100 percent true.

Click their profiles, see their activitiy. If they are giving a 60 buck game and have made 1 comment, it's probably too good to be true.

pay attention to comments and to users. If the person who made the giveaway also made giveaways in the past and people received the games. Then you can trust them. If someone registered 30 minutes ago and started to make lots of giveaways for 60$ games with lots of copies then you know it's a fake...

And usually people will state in the comments if someone made a fake giveaway
